From GoArmy.com - Being selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is an honor reserved for only the Nation’s most exceptional high school football players, as only the strongest wear the Army colors. As a U.S. Army All-American, these young men join the ranks of gridiron greats including Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Ndamukong Suh, Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, Marcus Lattimore and many other college and NFL stars. These young Americans have earned their selection by displaying some of the very same characteristics found in every Army Strong Soldier, on and off the field.
Joel Caleb is a top athlete who plays the game with good toughness and physicality. Both a dual-threat QB and a defensive back in high school, Caleb shows the ability to buy time and make plays with the ball in his hands. He has good size and strength, which shows through his punishing tackles. He reads the field well and takes good angles to the ball, making sure tackles once he reaches the ball carrier. Caleb plays defensive back with an attacking demeanor and enjoys coming up in run support.
"Caleb plays quarterback and safety in high school but prefers wide out at the next level. With good size and a physical mentality, he also has sneaky speed and can stretch the field. He’s elusive in space and powerful after the catch, with the ability to drag defenders for extra yardage.
